Joanne believes that every project should not only minimise its ecological impact but also contribute positively to biodiversity. Her approach involves integrating sustainable practices and innovative solutions to make sure that construction activities are environmentally responsible.
In her position, Joanne focuses on carrying out ecological surveys and providing advice about protected species and habitats. She has experience of providing preliminary appraisals, ecological impact assessments, and biodiversity net gain on a range of small and complex projects including housing developments, pipeline infrastructure, historical buildings and quarry restoration. She also has extensive experience with protected species surveys, including bats and great crested newt and provides detailed, comprehensive technical reports for use in planning.
Joanne is a member of the Northumberland Bat Group, aiding with care and rehabilitation of bats and is training as a volunteer bat roost visitor with Natural England. She’s also a member of the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland and attends training and group outings.
