With a background in environmental design and engineering, and trained as a facilitator and mediator, Phil has a reputation in bringing conversations and processes together to create people-centric, sustainable solutions in the built environment. He is well-versed in driving the sustainability agenda on major development projects.
During his career, Phil has been part of the UK Green Building Council’s taskforce on whole life carbon, embodied ecological impact, and circular economy and also part of the Net Zero Carbon Building Standards embodied carbon task group. He’s provided low carbon and circular design solutions for high-performance office spaces and advised on projects in many other sectors. These include primary and higher education, healthcare, industrial and nuclear facilities, sports and culture, and residential flats and housing. He’s also delivered a number of sustainable masterplans across the UK, Middle East, and Australia.
Phil is a director and co-founder of Crux, which supports people in holding conversations that matter through training, facilitation, coaching and mediation. He’s also a trustee and volunteer at Wandsworth Mediation Service.
