As a structural engineer, Timo designs structures across multiple sectors in a variety of structural forms and modes of construction—with a focus on the data centre sector. He has a wealth of experience delivering high spec structures for clients that require bespoke solutions.
Timo has an innovative and open-minded approach to design, considering a range of solutions to every problem. He applies this approach to concept design alongside a rigorous, data-driven approach to detailed design with a focus on value, efficiency, and sustainability. He’s led the delivery of several data centre schemes. This includes leading a full multidisciplinary team to complete a large data centre for a client in Wales. The team identified considerable value engineering savings against the original design and reduced structural steel by over 20 percent.
When he isn’t designing efficient low carbon structures, Timo enjoys spending time in the mountains, whether he’s climbing mountain passes on his road bike or shredding the slopes on his board or skis.?
