Portfolio, Programme & Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3) Assessments

The Axelos P3M3 maturity model is an industry-standard and accepted best practice model that organizations use to benchmark their approaches to portfolio, programme, and project management. Â鶹´«Ã½ is an Axelos partner and our team of endorsed assessors for P3M3 has supported various clients.

When acting as a P3M3 assessor, our team first gathers key information and documentation to support planning. Stakeholders are selected for interviews and asked Axelos question sets based on their role or function. Supplementary information¡ªsuch as governance reports, meeting minutes, or project risk logs¡ªis gathered to assess the completeness and consistency of each interview. Axelos P3M3 models are then used to score the maturity of the organization¡¯s approach. Scores are collated, substantiated, and form a record of the assessment for future reference. With access to global data, we can also benchmark an organization¡¯s scores with other companies, sectors, and industries. This is supplemented by our own anonymized benchmarking information from other UK water companies.

Our final assessment outputs are presented to key stakeholders and each client¡¯s programme management leadership. Organizations who look to align their programme management maturity to the P3M3 best practice model gain delivery efficiencies of between 10-20% for every maturity level attained.
