Science that redefines what¡¯s possible

DebrisFlow Predictor is a powerful landslide modelling tool that uses an intuitive interface to simulate debris flows or debris avalanches at multiple scales. It provides a science-based visualisation and analysis of debris flow hazards, helping you assess threats and plan accordingly. Whether responding to an emergency, or planning mitigation measures, DebrisFlow Predictor can provide insight into questions of safety, infrastructure impacts, and mitigation.

A landslide simulation software, DebrisFlow Predictor can be run regionally at high resolution and shows potential flow paths, the amount of scour and deposition along the entire path, and the inundation extent of debris flows. Landslide predictions are probabilistic and vary between runs, much as they do in nature.

You can run thousands of scenarios in seconds, providing high-resolution, quantitative data that can help make the decisions that preserve communities, infrastructure, and the environment.

The DebrisFlow Predictor Advantage

DebrisFlow Predictor is fast, probabilistic, visually intuitive, and provides site-specific results over an entire region.

Large-scale modelling of post-fire debris flow risk

Debris flows and floods threaten communities recovering from wildfires, particularly in mountain areas. After the Grizzly Creek, Cameron Peak, and Jacob City fires in Colorado and Utah, DebrisFlow Predictor was used to model 2.6 million landslides from 26,000 locations across 1,000 square kilometers (386 square miles) of the three watersheds. The team quantified post-fire hazard and risk to homes, highways, and residents. The Federal Emergency Management Agency is using the results to inform its flood-after-fire approach.

Easy to access

DebrisFlow Predictor is hosted by the Â鶹´«Ã½.io digital platform. A Â鶹´«Ã½.io account is free and requires no additional commitment except to create a username and password. As a user, you have access to the program, the built-in playgrounds, the intuitive interface, technical support, and manuals. Pricing is flexible depending on the size of your study area and determined using our pricing tool. You can use the tool to optimise your study area before purchasing. Users have access to their areas for 12 months from time of purchase.
